Rodeo Cinema

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Needs update · Hours, Photo

Rodeo Cinema is a century-old nonprofit arthouse theater in Stockyards City showing independent, foreign, and classic films, plus silent movies with live organ accompaniment.

About

Rodeo Cinema is a nonprofit arthouse theater in historic Stockyards City, operating out of a building that debuted in 1924 as a silent movie house and vaudeville stage — the longest-running cinema in Oklahoma City. After a temporary closure in 2024, it reopened in January 2025 under the Rodeo Cinema Foundation. The 172-seat theater screens first-run, independent, foreign, and documentary films, hosts filmmaker talks and community events, and presents silent classics with live organ accompaniment. Tickets are inexpensive, and the concession bar serves local beer and wine.
