BestOKC is a practical Oklahoma City directory. Core facts are checked against each place's official website or a public-agency source. We show the source and checked-on date when available. We do not claim to visit or rank every place; businesses and readers can submit corrections.
Finding a good spot in OKC shouldn't require digging through stale listings, keyword-stuffed pages, and review sites where you can't tell what's current. We wanted a directory that starts from official sources — the business's own website, public agency records — and shows its work.
BestOKC is built by an automated research system that gathers core facts (hours, address, phone, website) from official sources, with human oversight on inclusions and corrections. We don't send reviewers to visit places, and we don't rank them with scores. What we do is keep the facts straight and make it easy to tell us when something's wrong.
We don't aggregate strangers' reviews and we don't take payment for placement.

We start from a place's official website, official social profiles, and public-agency records (city permits, health department listings, tourism boards). We do not scrape review sites or copy other directories.
Hours, address, phone, website, and official descriptions are copied from the source. Categories, tags, and neighborhood assignments are derived by our system from the source material and listing context.
BestOKC is run by one independent owner under the BestOKC name — there is no local editorial team. An automated research system gathers facts from official sources, drafts summaries, and flags inconsistencies. The owner approves inclusions and handles corrections and removals, and is reachable at hello@bestokc.com.
Business owners can claim their listing and update hours, phone, website, and description directly. Ownership is verified before editing access is granted.
Anyone can report an error via the correction link on every listing or by emailing hello@bestokc.com. We aim to review corrections within 48 hours. Closed businesses are removed; disputed facts are re-checked against the official source.
We do not sell placement. If we ever run sponsored content, it will be clearly labeled as sponsored and kept separate from directory listings.

Placement is never for sale, and businesses cannot pay to raise, lower, or remove their listing. If a business asks, we review the request on our own timeline.
Core facts come from official sources. When a source changes, we update the listing. We show the source where we can.

BestOKC is an independent project run by its owner. Listings are free and are never sold or ranked for payment. The site currently carries no advertising and no affiliate links; if that ever changes, paid placements will be labeled as sponsored, in plain sight.
