Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Needs update · Hours, Photo

Oklahoma's classical theatre since 1985 — Shakespeare and contemporary classics in the Paseo's outdoor Shakespeare Gardens amphitheater each summer, plus indoor winter shows. 2920 Paseo.

About

Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Park, now branded Oklahoma Shakespeare, has produced classical and contemporary theatre in Oklahoma City since 1985 — its 42nd season ran in 2026. The home base is the Paseo Arts District at 2920 Paseo, with the outdoor Shakespeare Gardens amphitheater and an intimate indoor studio theatre. Summer programming is the signature: 2026 brought The Tempest (June) and Julius Caesar (September) to the gardens, 12 performances each over three weekends, tickets $25-50. Year-round programming includes winter indoor shows, student matinees, and young company camps. It's a professional nonprofit arts organization — Oklahoma's classical theatre since 1985 — with outreach spanning student matinees, touring programs, and artist residencies.
