Worker-owned microcinema and arts collective in the historic Paramount Building on Film Row, screening repertory, arthouse and cult films plus live events on pay-what-you-can admission — home of America's last remaining film-exchange screening room.

About

Oklahoma Film Exchange (OFX) is a worker-owned venue, microcinema and arts collective in the historic Paramount Building on Film Row in Oklahoma City. The screening room was built in 1919 as a film exchange; OFX purchased the lease in 2025 and opened September 11, 2025, preserving what is described as the last remaining film-exchange screening room in the United States. OFX prioritizes films you can't see anywhere else — arthouse, cult, local films and titles that never got theatrical release — alongside live events such as comedy shows, podcasts and poetry open mics. Admission is pay-what-you-can with first-come, first-served seating, and all events are held at the screening room on 701 W. Sheridan unless otherwise posted. The collective operates an ongoing 'Keep Film on Film Row' fundraiser (fiscal sponsor: Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition) to preserve the space, and the events calendar shows active screenings running through October 2026 (e.g., Queer Film Club, 20th-anniversary screenings, Dead End Film House takeovers).
