About

The Gaylord-Pickens Museum is the home of the Oklahoma Hall of Fame, located at 1400 Classen Drive in Oklahoma City. The Oklahoma Hall of Fame was founded in 1927 to honor Oklahomans who gave outstanding service to the state. In 2007 the organization moved into the former Mid-Continent Life Building and opened the Gaylord-Pickens Museum with interactive exhibits; portraits and busts of inductees — more than 700 members inducted since 1928 — are on display. The museum tells Oklahoma's story through its people with permanent, temporary, and virtual exhibits. The Hall of Fame reports its programs, including free family-friendly offerings, reach more than 600,000 Oklahomans annually, and it is approaching its 100-year centennial. The museum is open Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.; it is closed Sunday and Monday, and on July 4th, Thanksgiving and the day after, Christmas Eve, Christmas, and New Year's Day. Admission is $7 for adults, $5 for students ages 6-17 and seniors 62 and up, and free for children 5 and under.
