About

The Oklahoma National Stockyards in Stockyards City is the world's largest stocker and feeder cattle market, founded in 1910. Weekly live auctions run every Monday (stockers and feeders) and Tuesday (odds, cows, bulls and pairs), with sale times posted each Sunday evening; cattle are received 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The stockyards anchor historic Stockyards City, one of Oklahoma City's most distinctive districts — home to Cattlemen's Steakhouse (operating since 1910), western-wear shops, and the Livestock Exchange Building. The operation works through nine commission firms serving cattlemen, order buyers and feedlots nationwide. For visitors, the Monday and Tuesday auctions in the historic ring offer a genuine look at a working cattle market that sets price trends across the Southern Plains. The company also runs a merchandise shop and streams select sales online.
